C.S. Lee is hinting at the possible sinister role "Battlestar Galactica" actor Edward James Olmos could play during Season 6 of Showtime's "Dexter."
Olmos will star as a gifted professor of religious studies whose charm is undeniable. But will he actually become the season's main antagonist? Lee, who plays Masuka in the series, feels Olmos is ripe for such a development.
“It seems to be that way," Lee said in an interview with TV Line during the 2nd Annual Screen Actors Guild Foundation Golf Classic. "The guy is such a wonderful actor and such a presence that you would probably shoot yourself in the foot if you didn’t do that. He’s going to be great.”
Olmos is part of several new cast additions, including Billy Brown (“Death Row,” "Southland"), Brea Grant ("Heroes," "Halloween II"), Colin Hanks ("The Good Guys") and rapper Mos.
The series follows a serial killer (Michael C. Hall) who holds a job as a Miami police forensics specialist while quenching his thirst for the kill by hunting criminals who he believes have escaped justice.
Production on Season 6 is already underway in Los Angeles to meet a fall premiere.
"Dexter" also stars Jennifer Carpenter, James Remar, Desmond Harrington, Lauren Vélez, David Zayas, James Remar.
